Cochin Munnar Kovalam Kollam Kanyakumari 5N

Day 1 – Cochin – Munnar (Approx 135Kms – 4hrs)

Arrival at Cochin Airport. Meet and greet at the airport. Transfer by specified vehicle to Munnar.

Munnar – It is a land of Misty mountains tucked away in sunny, tropical climate away from heat and dust of the valley. Munnar is located 1600 meter from the sea level and was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India.

Munnar is an idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji, which blossoms once in twelve years. Enroute you can visit Cheeyappara & Vellara waterfalls.

Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.

Day 2 – Munnar Sightseeing 

After breakfast proceed for Munnar Sightseeing. Sightseeing towards Mattuppetty side: we cover Mattupetty Dam, Echo point (The natural Echo phenomenon is always happening here), shooting point, Kundale Lake etc.

After lunch, proceed to Rajamala;  Rajamala – Eravikulam National Park -where you can see the rare species of Mountain Goat, Nyamakadu waterfalls, Anaimudy view (South India’s Highest peak – 8841 feet from sea level = 2695 meters).   Later in the evening visit Tea museum, Pothenmedu viewpoint and return to the Hotel.

Day 3- Munnar – Kovalam (Approx 300 Kms – 8 hrs) 

Breakfast at Hotel. Check out from hotel and transfer to Kovalam, the international Beach destination of Kerala often called as Paradise of South. Kovalam has got three bow shorelines with shallow water and low tidal waves.  Check in to the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 4 – Kovalam – Kanyakumari day trip (Approx. 85 Kms one way – 3 hours)

Breakfast at hotel. Later proceed to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of Indian Sub-continent.

Kanyakumari is a major tourist spot in Tamilnadu apart from the joining place of three waterbodies (Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean).

Enroute visit Suchindram Temple, later proceed for Kanyakumari sightseeing. Visit Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari Gandhi Mandapam, Kanyakumari Beach, Saint Thiruvalluvar Statue etc. Travel through the picturesque landscapes of Tamilnadu and Kerala back to Kovalam .

Day 5 – Kovalam  – Visit Jatayu Earth’s  Kollam( Approx 65 Kms One way – 2 hours) 

Breakfast at hotel.  Later proceed to visit Jatayu Earth’s Adventure center which consists of world’s largest functional bird sculpture. The giant concrete statue of the Hindu Mythological bird Jatayu is built on the mighty rock called Jatayupara.  The adventure centre offers various activities like Rappelling, Jummering, Bouldering, Valley Crossing, Archery, Vertical Ladder, Rifle Shooting, Paintball, trekking, Helicopter ride etc.

Day 6 – Kovalam  – drop at Trivandrum Airport 

Breakfast at hotel. Check out and later transfer to Trivandrum Airport for your flight back home.
