Uttaranchal 9N / 10 Days

Day 01 – Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi, transfer by  a private vehicle to the hotel,

Later  go for  city tour of Old and New Delhi. Start sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat – memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandni Chowk, the city tour continues covering New Delhi, visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birla’s, one of India’s leading industrial families; Humayun’s Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai’s Temple,   Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; in the evening you can visit to see speculative Light and Sound Show at Red Fort.

Return to the Hotel.

Day 02 – Delhi – Haridwar (By Surface) 230 Km

Morning after your breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Haridwar. The Name “Haridwar” means Hari (God) + Dwar (Door), entrance or a gate to God. This is the place where river Ganges lands on to the Plain  from the mountains.

On arrival , check in to the hotel .  After refreshment, visit the mercury Shiva Lingam Temple, Daksh Mahadev temple – also known as Shri Daksheshwar temple, attributed to King Daksha ,  Gorakhnath Temple, Bharat Mata Temple is the representation of India in the form of a mother goddess, Mansa Devi Temple, one of the most popular and most visited temples of Haridwar. Later  visit Chandi Devi Temple that is located on top of a high hill. Visit  Hari Ki Paudi at Haridwar to attend the Aarti, performed simultaneously at all temples in Haridwar.. Later return to the hotel.

Day 03 – Haridwar – Rishikesh – Mussoorie

Breakfast at hotel. Check out ad  proceed to Mussoorie, Enroute visit Rishikesh. Visit the various temples and Ashrams in Rishikesh:  Bharat temple – temple has been named after Lord Ram’s second brother ‘Bharat’; however the presiding deity of this temple is Lord Vishnu, Shatrughan Temple – temple dedicated to Shatrughan, the youngest brother of Rama,  Laxman Jhoola, Rishikund and Raghunath Temple,  Swarg Ashram Gita Bhawan Parmath Niketan, Jhoola Triveni Ghat, Shivanand Ashram Kailash Ashram academy of Meditation. Later proceed  to Mussoorie. Check in at hotel in Mussoorie.

Day 04 – Mussoorie

After breakfast, take the sightseeing tour of major tourist attractions of Mussoorie. Visit Kempty falls, George Hill Everest, Gun hill, Company Garden, Mall road, etc. evening time on your own at leisure. Soak yourself in the beautiful landscape and the weather.

Day 05 – Mussoorie – Jim Corbett National Park  Approx 250 Km/ 5 hours

Breakfast at the hotel. Later check out and drive to Corbett. On arrival, check in to the hotel near Jim Corbett. Jim Corbett National Park, the first wildlife reserve of India to come under Project Tiger, extending over an area of more than 500 sq km is in the Himalayan foothills. It is home to a variety of flora and fauna, and  famous for its Leopards.

This 201 square mile park was named in honor of the late Jim Corbett, the legendary hunter, who turned into a naturalist, photographer in his later year and  who contributed much in  setting up this national park. You can opt for Elephant Safari inside the park. Evening is free for leisure and individual activities.

Day 06 – Jim Corbett National Park

Early morning again you can opt for Elephant Safari inside the park or park animal watching tour. You may get opportunity to see the main animals found in the national park including  the tiger, elephant, chital, Sambar, Nilgai, Gharial, King Cobra, Muntjac, wild boar, hedgehog, common musk shrew, flying fox, Indian Pangolin, and nearly 600 species of birds.  Breakfast after returning to the resort.

In the afternoon opt for jeep safari to the Bijrani area of Corbett to find the elusive Indian Tiger – evening free at leisure.

Overnight at Jim Corbett

Day 07 – Jim Corbett National Park – Nainital  Approx – 70 Km/ 2 Hours

Leisurely breakfast at the resort. Later check out and proceed to Nainital.

Also known as “Lake District” of India, Nainital is full of beautiful lakes and the most prominent among them  is Naini Lake ringed by hills.  Arrive Nainital and  check in  to the hotel. After lunch, we will start Nainital sightseeing by visiting Naina Devi temple devoted to  ‘Maa Naina Devi’ represented by two eyes. In evening visit the Naini Lake, a beautiful tranquil 2-mile-long pear-shaped lake. Optional boat ride in the Naini Lake .

Overnight stay in Nainital.

Day 08 – Nainital

Today morning after breakfast, start your sightseeing visiting Snow Viewpoint. Climb  800 feet by rope-way to reach  Snow View Point and enjoy it’s breathtaking view. . Afternoon visit Nainital High Altitude Zoo which offers a safe and secure habitat to many high altitude animals like Himalayan Black Bear, Barking Deer, Silver Pheasants, Snow Leopard, Siberian Tiger, Rose ringed Parakeet etc  and many rare Himalayan birds. After High Altitude Zoo , proceed to Hanuman Garh, a well known temple at 6401 feet from sea level and dedicated Lord Hanuman. enjoy the sunset from this height and later drive back to hotel.

Overnight stay at Nainital

Day 09 – Nainital – Delhi   Approx  310 Km/ 6 hours

After breakfast , check out from the hotel and transfer to Delhi.  Later in the evening day at leisure for last minute shopping.

Day 09 – Delhi Departure

After Breakfast, Check out from hotel and transfer to Delhi Airport for your flight back to home.
